Synopsis

A talented but reckless young longshoreman Sun Chi-Chiang from the wrong side of the docks gets a chance to achieve showbiz stardom as the Krupka-esque ‘Thunder King Drummer’ with a tip from his mild mannered but equally talented composer brother Yi-chuan.

    Such a prototype for almost every biopic about the rise of a musical star - except the real star is the manager who falls in love with all of her drum-banging pop star lackeys. Clothes, music, dancing, and choreography are all on point. In amazing-scope with the edges of the frame morphed with great depth of field in almost every shot and vibrant color - just a joy to look at
