Two women and their quest to find the Holy Grail. In modern day, Alice discovers the skeletal remains of two people in a cave, as well as a labyrinth-engraved ring. In 1209, newly married Alaïs protects three sacred books that reveal the secret of the Holy Grail from the Crusaders.

Pretty decently documented arthurian-style story about the holy grail as guarded by the cathars in South of France. Interesting approach and good production but the terrible acting and hideous length make it hard to watch.
I really wanted to like this given the subject matter (what other movies about the Cathars are there?) but the old-hat narrative device that frames the entire story as well as the ridiculous good vs. evil angle (unless it's a clever nod to the Cathars' own Manichaeanism) made Labyrinth a very disappointing experience.
