  1. Adam Whybray's rating of the film Lady Poverty

3.4 stars. An interesting combination of gallows humour and winsome charm. The central metaphor starts to break down once Lady Poverty's noose begins to be (entertainingly) repurposed by her plucky intended victims, but the tale is so dynamically told that this slight clumsiness only registers for the persnickity theoretician who should be written about Pospíšilová's work academically rather than browsing on Mubi!
