Hall's style unevenly shifts from being atmospherically hellish, effectively creating a sense of nightmarish isolation, annoyingly music video-style cutting, and hamhandedness. The plot is creative in its concept, yet the storytelling is very uneven. Finally, the main characters are developed enough for tension, but the victims aren't. While the horror is gloriously brutal, if unsuspenseful. Its pace is also a bore.
