Starts out great. The opening scene is one of the most inventive of Etaix's short career, but it becomes a jumbled mess after that. I understand what he was trying to do, but it just doesnt work. His other films are timeless however, so don't get turned off by this one. More gems to be found in his catalog.
Pierre Etaix did a whole 180 here. It's interesting, and certainly has funny moments (the beginning of the film is one of the funniest gags he's ever done), but it's a comedically political documentary about how bad France, and their entertainment industry is after may '68. He wasn't trained to do this kind of film.
