Hagiographic portrait on Shepitko's life and approach to film before her untimely death. Klimov creates here not only a paean to how she served the human spirit -thus likening her ethos and skill to a moral vision- but also a unique testament of a husband's love and deep respect for his wife. Coupling her beauty via stills to film extracts Klimov sculpts the dignity of the human face with the very symbol of Life.
