The whole movie rests on the acting chops of Nick Damici, who the emotional heft and meaning of the film are carried. However, Late Phases -- a werewolf film-- is far better in its scenes of drama-- especially the father-son relationship--than the scenes of action/horror, which aren't as well envisioned. Also, despite being equally balanced in action/horror and drama, they aren't integrated that well.
