  1. VincentVendetta's rating of the film Late Summer

Watching Late Summer, it becomes clear that French-Canadian was never good at emulating American melodrama, instead basing their acting of their documentary style and building their entire national cinema in opposition to Hollywood. Strangely intimate compared to what followed, one comes to wonder what if Poirier fully embraced fiction afterwards, not separating the individual and the universal but merging them.
