ASHES IN THE HOURGLASS's rating of the film Laura

Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but I have my suspicion that the everything after the twist is a dream. This would work thematically as the whole film seems to be a examination into how men idolize women as trophies and the detective seems quite allured by just the picture of Laura. Even if that isn't the case, this is still one of Preminger's best with impeccable performances and writing.
