Ratings & Reviews

  1. Rohan Berry's rating of the film Lay the Favorite

Stephen Frears is the definition of a jobbing director, with about the only auteurist trademark that he brings to every project being his exceptional ability to eke quality performances from his actors. Here Rebecca Hall is unrecognisable as the ditzy showgirl with a keen facility for numbers, whilst Willis delivers an unusually comic performance as a neurotic bookmaker and CZ-J gets to swear with some bravado.

  2. Catherine Krummey's rating of the film Lay the Favorite

Rebecca Hall's accent in this is horrible.

  3. ΞRIC B∆D TASTΞ's rating of the film Lay the Favorite

  4. kacey's rating of the film Lay the Favorite

    This film is pretty terrible.

  5. Bytch Please's rating of the film Lay the Favorite

The only thing this movie lays is an egg the size of a blimp. Zeta-Jones as a tacky trophy wife and Vaughan as a sleazoid bookie are the only bright moments. Amused myself the rest of the time by watching the most heavy-handed product placements experienced in recent memory. An entire throwaway scene at a CD stall is included just so Willis can mention album names to the ditzy, unloveable heroine.
