EdieEmm's rating of the film Le pont du Nord

A Don Quixote meets the Crying of Lot 49 delusional paranoiac adventure through the derelict buildings and construction sites of early 80s Paris. Grating sound, obviously improvised acting, and low quality 16mm combined to drain much of my patience, and if not for Rivette's self-aware wit running through the film like collateral, I might've not made it through to its surprisingly warm, quirky end. Not his best. 3.5
