Ratings & Reviews

  1. Ghostman's rating of the film Legends of the Fall

Legends of the Fall is a weird and uncertain attempt at a decades-spanning epic; it wants to be a David Lean film but its story feels watered-down. The actors try real hard but the performances are absurd and incoherent in the face of so many year-spanning transitions and ludicrous life changing events, most especially Anthony Hopkins stroke afflicted dad or Brad Pitt's emo white savior/honorary native american.

  2. Rosina Rossini's rating of the film Legends of the Fall

Even Anthony Hopkins was terrible in this. Pointless story, uninteresting plot, uninteresting characters except for Julia Ormond's character, whose storyline gets highjacked at some point. A really dissatisfying film.

  3. Chris's rating of the film Legends of the Fall

anthony hopkins in that fur coat... wow..... im gay?

  4. Ethan's rating of the film Legends of the Fall

A nice little epic about family in the wilderness and in time of war. Good performances all around.

  5. Charles Vignon's rating of the film Legends of the Fall

  6. pluviosity's rating of the film Legends of the Fall

good cinematography, yes, but the whole thing still overrated, I think. The makers should put more trust (story) on the other actors, not just Pitt.

  7. ALASKA.1's rating of the film Legends of the Fall

da piccola ero convinta che in realtà fosse Via col vento

  8. Bibi Lamy's rating of the film Legends of the Fall

c'est le film ou Brad Pitt est plus beau. la lumière, les paysages, les costumes, tout est beau, mais la fin est vraiment trop trop triste, trop ça veut dire exagéré. inutilement exagéré.

  9. J. O.'s rating of the film Legends of the Fall

This film is a sprawling, melodramatic mess - and it works. The performances are intense, but perfectly in context. The cinematography and the sheer size of the production is impressive - the design was also quite beautiful. The WWI scenes in particular were gigantic and complex. Overall, this romantic epic that sweeps across several decades is one effective tale.

  10. Marcus Killerby's rating of the film Legends of the Fall

An utter mess of a film, which demands so much of the audience whilst giving them so little. I had almost no interest in sitting through it all, but sadly I had nothing better to do.

  11. Ally's rating of the film Legends of the Fall

Completely stunning visually, but the plot, however many emotions it struck (mostly when the youngest brother died), was still all over the place and at times inconclusive.

  12. Drunken Father Figure of Old's rating of the film Legends of the Fall

  13. Roscoe's rating of the film Legends of the Fall

Pretty, but empty. The first real indication that there was less to Brad Pitt's acting abilities than met the eye.
