Squanders countless opportunities with a funny cast, and avoids commenting on the "buddy movie" at all costs. Instead, we end up with an unfunny and meandering attempt at that "banter-comedy" everybody is so into right now. It may work for 20 minutes on TV, but not for 100 in a theatre. A really lazy affair. Just like the Jump Street movies, but worse, it's just a mixtape with a big budget.
You'd think Nick & Coach from New Girl in a buddy action-comedy would've been golden. Think again! Johnson & Wayans Jr. have the comedic chops & chemistry, but the films wastes them (and most of the cast) w/ a horrible script & generic story that's barely funny & doesn't thrill. Let's be cops? Let's not, just forget about this mess, & watch New Girl instead.
