Graduation work from La Fémis: now this is possibly the best student work I have seen, teeming with euphoric anger. A fast masterpiece, Mr. Carré's half-hour reminds of Buñuel, Zulawski and Oliveira (there is shot almost identical to how Zulawski would later begin Cosmos - the character introducing himself to the camera, walking on a meadow, answering a question we didn't hear - [cont. in comments.]
