Good Pickford comedy, recently restored from a beautiful nitrate negative in Pickfords personal collection. The opening sequence feels like it inspired the entire look and feel of Scorsese's Gangs of New York. The only problem with the film is mid-30s Pickford playing a kid. Yes, shes short, but were audiences really that fond of her "Americas Sweetheart" image that they accepted such silliness? Either way, fun film.
