Ratings & Reviews

  1. †. Kennedy Pope's rating of the film Lockout

I've eaten stale bread with more personality than this movie.

  2. Steve G.'s rating of the film Lockout

Mike from Neighbours rescues Shannon from Lost from the clutches of Eli Dingle from Emmerdale.

  3. Julien Marcoux's rating of the film Lockout

This movie is poorly written, even the actors doesn't care about this awful movie.

  4. J. O.'s rating of the film Lockout

Fun enough premise with some good action and fun characters (namely, the prisoners). The president's daughter is real eye candy, but Pearce's constant "sarcastic" dialogue was so grating it was damn close to be being unwatchable. Oh, well.

  5. Nick Schwab's rating of the film Lockout

Watchable and quite fun, cheesy B-film that knows not to take itself too seriously, while still providing the action-style thrills. This riff on Escape From New York and 1980's action films with a video game-style is low on sense and originality, but is entertaining and has a game performance by Guy Pierce. Watch it for what it is-- a spunky and sarcastic ride-- nothing less, nothing more.

  6. Trailblazer, LLC.'s rating of the film Lockout

Fav Scene: Parachuting Freefall to Earth.

  7. rado's rating of the film Lockout

Walkout. A limp homage to Carpenter without any of his wit, compositions, editing, storytelling, politics, culture, music, timing, sense of place... Actually it's too terrible to be "so bad it's good"!

  8. CJ Roy's rating of the film Lockout

I hope Guy Pearce in space becomes the new Liam Neeson in Europe.

  9. Paulitics's rating of the film Lockout

  10. criminalmovies's rating of the film Lockout

A fun movie which Guy Pearce makes watchable. The dialogue was strange in certain parts as if translation errors were kept in the script and never questioned. No masterpiece but if you're in the mood for cheesy action it works just fine.

  11. Aren Bergstrom's rating of the film Lockout

  12. wolfmansRazor's rating of the film Lockout

Read the plot synopsis above. Read it again. If that doesn't give you a little thrill up the leg, then I don't know what to tell you, jack! The fact that "Lockout" makes good on the promise of that synopsis, delivering a superbly silly '80s-style action film (but, you know, in space!) is nothing short of a testament to the human spirit and the power of the Besson model of international production financing.

  13. Ben's rating of the film Lockout

It's like Die Hard in space. How can you go wrong? It's definitely not a cinematic masterpiece, but Guy Pearce makes it very enjoyable.

  14. Xesus Duarte Patiño Rumbo's rating of the film Lockout

  15. josé...'s rating of the film Lockout

This was surprisingly entertaining and only because of Pearce's one liners.

  16. sergigno's rating of the film Lockout

una stella in più solo per Pearce!

  17. Jason Callen's rating of the film Lockout

I'd go maybe 2.5 because some of it looked good and I actually thought Pierce was funny and the only one who understood what a campy piece of trash this was going to be. Can't expect too much from the Luc Besson school of action. If he bothered to set anything up, instead of just rushing through information during confusing flashbacks, he might be able to write a decent action flick.

  18. Easton Dubois's rating of the film Lockout

I haven't stopped cringing from Guy PIerce's one liners...ugh, what an embarrassing pile of unclean elephant toes.

  19. MATTEO BITTANTI's rating of the film Lockout

It looks like a videogame. It sounds like a videogame. It "plays" like a videogame. In short: game over.

  20. Robin Chang's rating of the film Lockout

Guy Pearce, why did you sign up on this?!

  21. HKFanatic's rating of the film Lockout

The first scene, featuring Guy Pearce trying to smoke a cigarette as he's repeatedly punched in the face, clued me in that Luc Besson and company were basically going for "The Last Boy Scout" in space. Guy Pearce's career will hopefully receive a shot in the arm thanks to his fun turn as a sardonic tough guy, but the screenplay is loaded to the brim with sarcastic one-liners and not a single one proves memorable.

  22. vadermccandless's rating of the film Lockout

good looking, if overall pretty bland

  23. Henrique Amud's rating of the film Lockout

Bland writing, D-class actors and pedestrian directing only diminishes Guy Pearce's attempts of being awesome. So yeah, aside from some funny one liners and zings, absolutely nothing to see here.

  24. MichaelBarry's rating of the film Lockout

I detected 5 lines said by Guy Pearce that didn't contain sarcasm.
