Our take

As deliciously dark and odd as it sounds, this French farce channels social angst into black comedy: whacky, grotesque, and appropriately inappropriate. Carrying its share of surprises (a cameo by Mathieu Kassovitz! songs by Daniel Johnston!), it won a jury prize at Sundance for originality.
