Ratings & Reviews

  1. Daniel S.'s rating of the film Love and Pain and the Whole Damn Thing

**1/2. Tourism in Spain for Maggie Smith and Timothy Bottoms who are both asocial and psychologically disturbed. Contact with REAL people and REAL life will wake in them an urge to fall in LOVE with each other. It's rather naive. A movie that couldn't have been shot before 1967 nor after 1973. In short, a museum piece, a 'Love Story' in Spain. Almost already forgotten.

  2. Richmond Hill's rating of the film Love and Pain and the Whole Damn Thing

Somewhat dreamy and nicely textured character study that leads to an inevitable sorrow of sorts but builds nicely along the way in a series of well-paced vignettes. Slocombe's photography is especially pleasing.
