Our take

A cyclonic force of chaos, Jacques Tati’s beloved Monsieur Hulot wreaks delightful havoc on a sleepy French seaside town in his first cinematic outing. Favoring mayhem over bourgeois comfort, this riotous, meticulously choreographed comedy gently pokes fun at the travel habits of the leisure class.
