One of those perfect feel good films. Easily enjoyable for any age, any audience, and any culture. The pacing is brisk, the story is suspenseful and the excitement is contagious. It makes you want to dance.
"MHB is not a movie about dance. These kids still have traces of the 1st-graders they were, but they're right on the brink of puberty—and they know it. They're little kids playing dress-up, forming their ideas about life in front of your eyes, and so vulnerable that they break your heart....They're doing more than finding their inner strength. They're becoming socialized." - David Edelstein, Slate. 3.5 stars
