Oy vey! Even the great Frank Borzage couldn't rescue a film from a script this clunky. Why he made it, I don't know. Maybe he owed someone a favor. Ginger Rogers is entirely competent in a way that generates no excitement, and as wonderful an actor that Burgess Meredith is, his talent is also but a pearl in this swine of a film. Not recommended, not even for Borzage completists.
