Ratings & Reviews

  1. Wee Hunk's rating of the film Man from Reno

The mystery writer thinks she can read people. Being a detective means you need to be able to read people. It doesn't matter if you're smart, because that can be used against you.

  2. Viginti_tres's rating of the film Man from Reno

More than a clash of cultures, this film is a clash of cinematic styles. Part Japanese social drama, part American West crime story patched together with a putty of Noir. A clever and surprisingly cohesive little synthesis.

  3. Taufiq Hariyadi's rating of the film Man from Reno

I dare to say that black/white idea must be much bigger than being lustily colored

  4. Carlos Filipe Freitas's rating of the film Man from Reno

“Man From Reno”, a bewitching independent neo-noir film, may trap you in its mysteries and moods while transmits all the anxiety and uncertainty that its characters are subjected to. (3.5 stars)

  5. MATTEO BITTANTI's rating of the film Man from Reno

  6. Henrique Amud's rating of the film Man from Reno

An enjoyable low key take on the noir films with a charming cast that mostly doesn't fall prey to the genre's many traps and clichés. It is neither revolutionary nor fantastic, but a truly enjoyable and satisfying ride. Props to Ayako Fujitani for making the main character much more relatable than what was on the script.

  7. aliasgenius's rating of the film Man from Reno

Pretty darn great new-noir/mystery. Definitely a Netflix pick of the week. 4/5
