While the point-of-view shot has long been a horror staple, implicating the audience in the salacious thrills they signed up for, Maniac takes the conceit to feature-length extremes. A remake of the grimy grindhouse classic, starring everyone’s favorite Hobbit in a nifty bit of against-type casting.
