  1. rulesofachia's rating of the film Mansion of the Living Dead

It doesn't really work overall but I liked the inverted gothic and the eerie silence. Instead of dark, stormy nights, we get bright daylight and sunny beaches. An example of a creepy daylight horror film. But I wanted more of the metaphysical allegory than the sleaze. Especially since the last few minutes are so haunting and poignant. That final shot of Lina fleeing from the monastery in a wedding dress...

  2. Dan Kenneth Gigernes's rating of the film Mansion of the Living Dead

Enough walking corpses and sex to be a strange and sometimes hilarious sexploitation movie from Jess Franco who satisfies his inner desires again. Some solid camera work, but there is no mansion here only a hotel and the film is filled with stupid characters and fake rubber faces. A few unknown European girls strip for the camera dreaming of one time becoming a starlet. It sadly would not happen after this film.

  3. Matt Burgess's rating of the film Mansion of the Living Dead

Zzzz. One of Franco's more retarded efforts, lots of dull drawn out scenes of ugly fat girls wandering around, saying stupid shit and awkwardly slobbering over each other. Still the pulpy "ghost rapist cult" story has its charm and some really beautifully eerie hallway shots, but for Franco completists only.

  4. Scout Tafoya's rating of the film Mansion of the Living Dead

    A vacation, filmed. A mess.
