MAP

A young director fired from his job in TV goes to India in search of his first feature film, only to discover that the real search is not for him in India but back home. Halfway between documentary and fiction, MAPA is a road movie in first person that has been defined as the reverse of Annie Hall.

A video diary about love, loneliness, and laughing at one’s own misfortune, Map was a years-long undertaking for director and narrator León Siminiani. Playing inventively with the conventions of road movies, the film sees personal obsessions lead to universal reflections on the creative process.
