Our take

In this Agatha-Christie-meets-Hitchcock charade, no one is as they seem. Gastronomy is both the sin and the pleasure of the bourgeoisie as known gourmet Chabrol stuffs the film with gorgeous, beautiful meals. The flowing of red wine, however, hints at torrents of perverse and murderous intent.
