3.5. Has the problems endemic to the "europudding'" and pretty much wastes its entire supporting cast, among which are Erland Josephson and Maria de Medeiros (whose role, whatever it was, seems to have ended up on the cutting room floor). But it's a fine illustration of why the EU was never going to work, and the leads are good. One of the few times I've ever found Glenn Close agreeable.
