better than the 2nd but its difficult to find a movie that isnt. josh brolin does a great tommy lee jones impression, better than the wrinkly man himself can muster up. will smith also seems to have forgot how to play his character. he does not crack a single smile in the entire movie. crushingly disappointing franchise after a superb start.
Almost doesn't feel like ten years have past. Episodic entry saved by a remarable performance/impersonation by Josh Brolin. Much less of a comedy this time around even with Jemaine Clement as the villian. Visually thanks to Bo Welch and Rick Baker a treat. Good to hear that my theory of all supermodels being aliens reiterated here. Nothing special but certainly doesn't deserve the trashing it is getting elsewhere.
No exposition, no problem. By skirting the dreaded contemporary blockbuster formula, this sequel is much better than it has a right to be. Perfectly paced, every shot is a witty visual gag, the snappy dialogue is captivating and the humour is actually relevant and funny, sometimes hilarious. This has more comic book fun than all of Marvel's output together and flashes away the bad memories from their franchises.
