Shot really beautifully if you sit and just revel in the art direction and cinematographic choices made. But some things also just didn't right with me acting wise somethings felt very over done and over acted. also my awareness of some outside scenes being clearly shot on a closed set kind of took me out of the film sometimes. But this is a classic and again its art directions and cinematography was great.
This film gave you no compelling reason to feel for the men behind the violence but challenges you to do it anyway. That’s what makes Menace different from Boyz N the Hood. They don’t show you why you should care, they challenge you to find it in yourself to care, specifically about what’s going on in the hood.
