  1. ammar's rating of the film Mississippi Mermaid

  2. C's rating of the film Mississippi Mermaid

past the confrontation scene it nosedives harder than any movie I've ever seen, unbearable by the end

  3. Ethan's rating of the film Mississippi Mermaid

This film feels like a cross between Hitchcock and Renoir but it is all Truffaut and Belmondo and Deneuve are great to watch in this as they play each other in a game of cat and mouse.

  4. Raymond Likes Subtitles's rating of the film Mississippi Mermaid

Considering the talent involved this is pretty dull. Not one of Truffaut's best.

  5. FISCHER's rating of the film Mississippi Mermaid

  6. truffraud's rating of the film Mississippi Mermaid

melodramatic, romantic, and sensual. an examination of the dynamic between two lovers devoted to each other to the point of psychosis, obsession, murder, and violence. "it is joy and it hurts."

  11. Samuel Donath's rating of the film Mississippi Mermaid

  12. Droog811's rating of the film Mississippi Mermaid

Not Truffaut's best but a great Hitchcock-like film that proves love really is blind. 3 1/2 stars...

  13. José Neves's rating of the film Mississippi Mermaid

Cinematography by Denys Clerval. "Desire" list. Deneuve, so perfect of irreproachable falsehood and Belmondo, so imperfect, emulating a male innocence and his immense physical attraction, a trap filled with carnal pleasures and moral pains, a soulless soul in(to) Belmondo engaging body.

  14. CarlosEsquives's rating of the film Mississippi Mermaid

  15. Marci Montgomery's rating of the film Mississippi Mermaid

Agree with @Kurt, this is an amazing, under-appreciated film. I find myself recommending it to everyone I meet, and few people have ever heard of it.

  16. Lefteris Becerra's rating of the film Mississippi Mermaid

  17. Federico Di Folco's rating of the film Mississippi Mermaid

Altro gran film targato Novelle Vague.4*

  19. Tellechea's rating of the film Mississippi Mermaid

  20. Mark Kasten's rating of the film Mississippi Mermaid

The film is gorgeous enough (both the setting and Deneuve) to provide enough worth to keep one interested long enough to find that it does indeed pull one in the longer it runs. A solid Hitchcock tribute that has enough Truffaut to make it his own.

  21. Michael Harbour's rating of the film Mississippi Mermaid

A mystery film then a suspense film about a marriage built on lies and deceit (even moreso than most). Develops gradually increasing tension throughout and comes to a satisfying conclusion. Not great Truffaut, but a perfectly good movie.

  22. Rodrigo's rating of the film Mississippi Mermaid

O amor mostrado no filme realmente é algo q nunca vi! Bravo! François Truffaut!
