Ratings & Reviews

  1. smndvdcl's rating of the film Mister Foe

Dysfunctional masculinity made curiously endearing. On paper, this character should be hideous, yet as the spectator, you are compelled to root for his breakthrough, however convoluted and messy it may be. A perfect storm of a film.

  2. Thomas's rating of the film Mister Foe

[aka 'Hallam Foe'] A coming-of-age drama shot with a playful spirit. Has a dreamlike fairy tale quality about it.

  3. camille's rating of the film Mister Foe

  4. Arijit Ghosh's rating of the film Mister Foe

Nice shots of Edinburgh. Creepy story.

  5. Alexine Chanel's rating of the film Mister Foe

  6. Lars Engelmann's rating of the film Mister Foe

Creep with oedipus complex stalks women and watches people having sex and he is somehow the "nice guy". Yeah… right.

  7. Maria Gorbatschova's rating of the film Mister Foe

  8. Ferdinand Staisch's rating of the film Mister Foe

  9. Alexander Goldmann's rating of the film Mister Foe

  10. bastos's rating of the film Mister Foe

intense, intelligent annd empathic. great UK cinema!

  11. Max Seqgar's rating of the film Mister Foe

Nice story, nice visual, great music... very nice! :)

  12. juanovillegas's rating of the film Mister Foe

El fondo de la historia es muy debil e insiste en soportar en el la pelicula, lo que hace que se debilite la historia a veces. Pero al final tienes algo facil de digerir y que te cautiva. Buena fotografia y banda sonora simple pero buena.

  13. Žirafe's rating of the film Mister Foe

  14. Prabodh's rating of the film Mister Foe

Contemporary and very palpable Freudian soirée. Maintains its tender balance between dark an surrealist cinema.

  15. __'s rating of the film Mister Foe

Nice fairy tale. Unfortunately I can't sympathize with the creepy psychotic main character and the story is sort of all over the place.

  16. rociof's rating of the film Mister Foe

  17. Diana Bulzan's rating of the film Mister Foe

A strange story that unfortunately gives the impression of working too hard to be weird and twisted in a fun kind of way. The soundtrack gave it away - it resembled too much Ayoade's Submarine without any substance.

  18. albertofarina's rating of the film Mister Foe

Scottish adolescent becomes certain his widowed father's new fiancée is responsible for Mommy's drowning - then falls for a girl who's a dead ringer for the dear departed. Jamie Bell's performance is the key element allowing bizarre story to overcome its fabricated feeling and elicit sympathy for an ultimately creepy character. Striking views from Edinburgh's rooftops and original animated title sequence are bonuses.

  19. Aybige Tek's rating of the film Mister Foe

roof space and tree house are even worth for watching lol :D

  20. Florence's rating of the film Mister Foe

    good ending and very british.

  21. Francesca Piovano's rating of the film Mister Foe

Ghosts turn into life. Thanks David.

  22. Westley's rating of the film Mister Foe

Some very nice photography and editing. Unfortunately, the story isn't very good. Hallam isn't a very compelling character. A lot of quirk for the sake of quirk. A lot of trite, half-baked oedipal ideas and too much melodrama. David Mackenzie has made some very good movies, but this isn't one of them.

  23. In An Expression Of The Inexpressible's rating of the film Mister Foe

It got two stars from me just because of the soundtrack. Except of the photography every other aspect of this movie really sucked.

  24. Punchbrain's rating of the film Mister Foe

Jamie Bell is incredible in this movie... The story is so McKenzie ! Love it !
