  1. bryanvmh's rating of the film Mom and Dad

Nicolas Cage doing Andy Samberg doing Nicolas Cage: all the dialogue is either whispered or screamed

  2. PeterK94's rating of the film Mom and Dad

You can feel the director's mid-life crisis

  3. nicolecahali's rating of the film Mom and Dad

trash do jeitinho que eu gosto! Nicolas Cage super exagerado, câmera muito louca, trilha demais e roteiro maluco! rsrsrs

  4. Rocco's rating of the film Mom and Dad

A killer concept that made for 2/3 of a good flick. By the time Blair and Cage are monologuing in the basement, the movie has just about run out of ideas and careens wildly downhill in terms of quality from then on. Can we get a take two?

  9. film_lies101's rating of the film Mom and Dad

This could been a bit more OTT, but it was entertaining

  10. pirri's rating of the film Mom and Dad

  11. João R's rating of the film Mom and Dad

A somewhat bold, impious and violent change of roles. At times, this is merely shifting words that hurt into aggressive actions.

  12. HKFanatic's rating of the film Mom and Dad

I have to respect Brian Taylor for writing and directing a (nihilistic, politically incorrect, and ludicrously over the top) horror film in which Nic Cage's Looney Tunes performance can comfortably coexist alongside Selma Blair's almost touching turn as a quietly tragic suburban mother. This film had me ecstatic, and that was even before Lance Henriksen's cameo and the best "Dark Knight" reference in years.

  13. Nick Schwab's rating of the film Mom and Dad

Awkward editing that gives some exposition and important action/dramatic scenes depth and irony, but rendering them momentumless. Many scenes internal and external rhyme is also inorganic, never getting a bearing between comedic horror and serious scares/character drama. However, when Henriksen shows up the zaniness does reach an apex, making it hard to hate, despite the ideas being much better than the reality here.

  14. Palmat's rating of the film Mom and Dad

Very entertaining flick with an off-the-wall premise that is as bonkers and the movie itself. Blair and Cage is very good in their roles and have some great scenes both together and apart. The kids are also good but kinda boring. It takes a while to get going and I think that Taylor´s directorial style is wrong for this kind of movie. It was fun while it lasted but it feels like a missed opportunity.

  15. Evan Schafer's rating of the film Mom and Dad

This movie is brilliant and for all the right reasons. Aside from the fact that all parents across the world lose their minds in a be-all end-all scenario regarding their children, this is a wonderfully executed dark comedy from photography to acting to the originality of the script. Not often do I smile at a film because of its sheer uniqueness factor, no less one with a horror bent, but this one did. See it.

  17. Mugino's rating of the film Mom and Dad

Kids may start out cute, but they can turn into entitled, self-absorbed, cruel little turds just as the parents enter into middle age, their youthful dreams displaced by parenthood, mortgages and wrinkles. As in "Battle Royale", this is territory ripe for savage retaliation and these moms and dads deliver with comic glee. Yet there are also sobering and terrifying glimmers of child abuse, giving heft to the mayhem.

  18. James Mackin's rating of the film Mom and Dad

Funny, and Nic Cage does a great Cage performance, but the high fades fast.
