For a horror film that comes at a time when cinema seems to have found a strong resurgence in the genre, this hits all the points for me personally, thus the 5-star rating. Typically I'm of the belief that high film ratings must mean it is a work of art; this, between the acting, photography and writing, proves that it is just that and more. For a fun, entertaining ride that's definitely worth the watch, see it.
It's so generic and perhaps blatant that it didn't surprised nor disappoint - even though I think it was just almost fair. I admired the premise and I liked Alexis from the beginning. And I must underline the feminine mutual support and the comedic twists. Adding Mickey to the plot was the major sin. The ending was a satisfying epidemic metaphor.
