the pythons havin a piss on an olde English storie...more quotable than the two movies that followed (and therefore meme-ified to death by now) this remains, with fresh eyes, a lovely romp in the existential balm of absurdity...the whole cast is on point here, especially Graham Chapman as King Arthur and John Cleese as the overgrown adolescent Frenchman...so I close with a meme..."run away!",
2-3. I think it's an abjectly funny film. But watching it did start to get a bit monotonous. There isn't really a core to attach to, here. The story is basically an excuse for a series of Arthurian Monty Python sketches. And not in the sense that it's like a road movie. Sections are clearly cordoned off here, and wandering from sketch to sketch amplifies the sense that the movie's meandering.
