Synopsis

A dancing column of animated drawings and videos of dancers enacting various forms of the danse macabre. There are sickly figures supported by IV drips; priests moving almost jauntily, with funeral flowers; columns of people marching and dragging sacks, pulling forward dead bodies.

  • josé neves's rating of the film More Sweetly Play the Dance

8-channel video instalation. In Coimbra biennial's 1st edition it was 7-channel, at the amazing Santa Clara-a-Nova Monastery. An exercise on continuity, with sound, image and drawing- in between every screen we can read editing's interstices, the (absence of) time and space that one's mind must fulfill. Also, a very exciting formalist exercise on politics, the writing of/for intervention. This year's best experience?
