Ratings & Reviews

  1. Paolo Simeone's rating of the film Mother's Heart

Another radical disturbing piece of Italian cinema for whoever has a short memory. It only fails when it goes a little bit too much Godardesque, but still manages to be crazier than everything.

  2. Il secondo maestro del revolver's rating of the film Mother's Heart

  3. Samuel T.'s rating of the film Mother's Heart

The putrid 60's air of materialism and bourgeois living so ripe in Italian film (see Ferreri) seems to permeate this near-mute housewife, so she deters herself by joining a cuckoo revolutionary group that advocates violence (which scenes thickly reference 60's Godard.) Meanwhile, the children speak politics more eloquently than anyone, and seem to thrive on inducing misery. Might as well end it with a bang! Oddity.

  4. Pymo's rating of the film Mother's Heart

    Silent adults. Screaming youth!
