Ratings & Reviews

  1. Juurakkotukka's rating of the film Madeline's Madeline

Just too american for my taste. :/

  2. Eric Eidelstein's rating of the film Madeline's Madeline

I think I finally understand Decker with this. She truly has invented her own language. Madeline’s Madeline is another expressionistic wonder, but even with Decker’s usual tricks — the dizzying camerawork, emphasis on improvisational performance, and masterful use of discomfiting non-diegetic sounds, there’s a narrative clarity here that I haven’t necessarily felt in her other films.

  3. Gonçalo's rating of the film Madeline's Madeline

It's... okay. Feels like two movies in one, trying to deal with two different themes, and neither one ends up digging enough to be more than just okay.

  4. AugusteB's rating of the film Madeline's Madeline

A sensual journey through a teenagers life. Theater group improvisation vs real life mother daughter problems. Makes you shift your sympathies constantly between the theater teacher, the mother and Madeline's mind.
