Nannerl, la soeur de Mozart

René Féret France, 2010

mpho3's rating of the film Mozart's Sister

The film has some lovely notes, but as NY Times writer Manola Dargis writes, director "Féret never settles on whether [Mozart's sister] was a genius, a martyr, a feminist cause, a disappointed daughter, a resigned woman or all of the above." I think probably all those things, but in some ways, finding the overall point of this film is like trying to squeeze blood from a stone.
