Ratings & Reviews

  1. Ryan Christopher Coleman's rating of the film Mr. Skeffington

Bette plays an out of control tart..and she serves it. The plot begins to unravel around the time FDR unfurls the 2nd phase of the New Deal, but it's okay, bc the real show is watching Fanny brace against the aging process..something Bette did different than any actress. "Aging out" would not have been a superfluous concern for Fanny, who's $ & status in part on her looks. Bette brings TOTAL vulnerability & humanity

  2. NICOLE86's rating of the film Mr. Skeffington

Rains performance is the best thing about this film, Davis was annoying for the first half and then insufferable towards the ending.

  3. Fritz's rating of the film Mr. Skeffington

    Claude Rains. Enough said.

  4. Jack Lineman's rating of the film Mr. Skeffington

So Bette Davis plays a bitch, that Warner Brothers wants us to feel bad for her. I spent at least the last thirty minutes hoping it would end or Claude Rains would come back.

  5. pjjrfan's rating of the film Mr. Skeffington

Bette Davis and Claude Rains, at the very end this movie just broke my heart with Rain''s performance.
