A very emotional film that brought back some foggy memories from my own childhood. I've seen myself in that child's bittersweet story and i easily connect with what this movie achieved to express. That kid was very funny and very cute. It was a kinda special feeling to watch him, understanding him and sympathising with his moments of pure joy or even sadness. 8.75/10
Childhood is the happiest time of our lives simply because we still ignore what is wrong with the world and the people living in it. This film shows the moment when a kid begins to suffer at being beaten by tragedy (the loss of his mother and his dog) and disorientation (sexuality), but realizes is the time of shaping his own identity and character to endure.
