A mix between Dan Brown stories and Indiana Jones that actually feels fresher than it is. The actors seem engaged and they make me more involved in the film than I thought possible. A few absurd action sequences - and the ending disappoints, but it is one of the better Indiana Jones copies out there.
[J. Brew Recommendations: Day 1/7] Stealing the Declaration of Independence to save the Declaration of Independence is the most brilliant Nicolas Cage plan in his film history. The way Ben Gates just figures everything out with ease shows how much better of a historian and treasure hunter he is than Indiana Jones. Don't even talk to me if you don't like this movie or haven't seen it.
A lot of fun, even if it is very silly. Refreshing to see a subdued performance from Cage, playing a character as smart as he is -- Diane Kruger, Christopher Plummer, Harvey Keitel and Sean Bean are all a joy to watch as always, and everything moves at a good pace with a boyish, imaginative enthusiasm.
