  1. Balthaz21's rating of the film Night Has a Thousand Eyes

  2. Terry_Moby's rating of the film Night Has a Thousand Eyes

Not much to gain visually but the story is spooky and original. Edward G. Robinson's world weary, sad and tired performance is marvelous. Some of the minor characters (police, especially) are just plain silly, though. Never mind, watch it after midnight and enjoy...

  3. Karthik's rating of the film Night Has a Thousand Eyes

The strain of fatalism in the hard-boiled noir fiction found its apogee in the novels of Cornell Woolrich (also responsible for the story material of Rear Window, Bride Wore Black, Leopard Man, Phantom Lady etc) & finds its obsessive filmic exposition in this very loose adaptation of the eponymous Woolrich novel. It is efficiently directed by John Farrow and expertly acted by an aging, self-haunted Robinson.

  4. Dave's rating of the film Night Has a Thousand Eyes

A pulpy, over-the-top Cornell Woolrich story that captures the sense of doom hanging over everything as well as any other noir. At no point does the viewer expect anything less than tragedy.
