The writer of "Nightmare Man" has spent his life filming tributes to directors of horror flicks that he unashamedly enjoys. He references Raimi and Craven, toys with the tropes their films influenced and does it with a refreshing wink to followers of the genre, but with cheaply-made works like this and "Jacqueline Hyde" however, he revisits themes from earlier in his career, and makes the stories more ridiculous.
