A transitional film without an audience and that is precisely why I find it fascinating. It's Franco at his most experimental. I love it for both its strengths and flaws. Plus I could watch Diana Lorys wandering about in a soft and gauzy dream state forever. <3
An other really dull mid thriller / mid erotic movie by Franco. However a few tripped out imaginative sequences help the film to be occasionally catchy. Soledad Miranda has a minor role here. Once more I remain convinced that his "Justine", "Venus in fur" and "the bloody judge" remain among his most refined and challenging pieces, probably because Harry Allan Towers is on the production.
