Anthony Waller had one of the best thriller debuts of the 1990's, with Mute Witness, then never regained his footing (or career) after following it up with An American Werewolf in Paris. Evident here, as this film never goes beyond half-step creativity. Even the characters are non-reactionary to nightmare-visions and murders simply to service the plot. Substandard stuff. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
