Ratings & Reviews

  1. Rosina Rossini's rating of the film Noose

I liked this film. Sure, it was a confused effort, with the director not being able to make his mind up between directing a broad comedy, or a serious film noir, but there was enough going for this film to make it an enjoyable watch.

  2. Edna Sweetlove's rating of the film Noose

Can't make its mind up whether it's a comedy, tragedy or a boy's own story. And ends up a bit like Biggles with sex and blood. The nightclub fight scene has the highest number of punches thrown ever.

  3. Daniel S.'s rating of the film Noose

British Film Noir adapted from a stage play. There are some great actors here like Carole Landis, Nigel Patrick and Joseph Calleia. Director Edmond T. Gréville allows himself a few artistic tricks with black & white and the camera but the movie loses all his dramatic impact in the last scene because of the light and comic tone used by the director. Too bad. Recommended though.
