"Norm of the North" is what happens when you have a serviceable and potentially impacting idea, but have incredibly little faith in your audience. Despite a lofty global warming plot and corporation themes, "Norm of the North" settles for mimicking the success of films like "Despicable Me" and "Madagascar" by shoving the cuteness of the characters down our throats and making an entirely worthless and miserable affair
The only good thing I have to say about this movie is that it worked a couple of times for my 5-year-old when she wanted to relax and see a movie which made it possible for me to watch a better and more satisfying film on Mubi as the first time I tried to watch this one I couldn't care about either the characters or the animation.
