Underrated, Sweetest Word in the World Vol.4 (maybe). This movie with the title apparently ludicrous & dumb is in fact so enthralling so wonderful because this director has both childish curiosity like "Ninja! yeah Ninja! Ninja!" & subdued manner as adult. All this movie's element has sophisticatedly retro texture, making me feel I live in that 60's or 70's world in before my birth like "Midnight in Paris." SO GOOD.
An excellent idea about a real convicted Norwegian spy Arne Treholt - what if he actually was framed in a conspiracy and is really a super Ninja that did assignments for the king. Mads Ousdal is a dead ringer for Treholt with great presence. I starts good with some old real life news footage, but when the film has no budget with weak effects, pathetic action and unfunny jokes it becomes a major disappointment to me.
