    Watched on the 35mm restoration from UCLA archive, in a screening introduced by the director of that institution. Far from a great film, but it has the kind of qualities that remind me why I fell in love with the movies: for the archaeological and historical matter and to find some rare curiosities that many people don't have any interest to see. Spencer Tracy's performance gave the film the majority of its power.
