Isn't it amazing how this happens all the time? Students are always taking advantage of their professors and it took the brave David Mamet to point out this problem in society. It wouldn't surprise me if he belonged to a Men's Rights association. All that style and elocution wasted on a crypto-fascist.
**1/2 Nice style, crisp and engaging drama/words. But concocting straw men to combat straw men can only have dubious, flimsy results; it's an insular, passing sort of hysteria that this film partakes of, and at this point it seems merely quaint. "We will be judged by that least involved of magistrates: history," indeed -- Mamet clearly, and so wrongly, believes his film stands on the right side of that observation.
